Angela Desveaux
Angela is the the Editor-in-Chief and founder of WedLuxe – Canada's luxury wedding magazine. Desveaux created WedLuxe in 2006 to celebrate the design and style elements of luxe, stylish, urban Canadian weddings. WedLuxe was the first publication in Canada to focus entirely on the luxury market and in three short years, the magazine has become the most acclaimed wedding publication in the country.

Along with wedluxe.com and the daily Editor’s blog, WedLuxe features the work of the most talented wedding purveyors in Canada. Desveaux created the magazine to be a showcase for avant-garde concept driven editorial created entirely by Canadian stylists, designers and contributors.

Ms Desveaux is also part owner in Cloud Nine Creative - one of Canada's leading wedding cinematography companies.

Desveaux and her partner Bruce Patterson were at the forefront of wedding multimedia in 2006 as they introduced WedLuxe TV in their debut edition, making WedLuxe one of the first magazines in the world to incorporate video into the online media experience.

As a graduate of Sheridan College, Desveaux began her career in 1997 as a Graphic Designer at CBC Television working on sitcoms, news and movies. She moved to Vancouver BC in late 1998 and worked in the telecommunications and mutual fund industries as a Senior Designer before embarking on her destiny as an entrepreneur in 2001.

Since then, she has grown the WedLuxe and Cloud Nine Creative brands into two of the most recognized and successful wedding businesses in Canada. In 2008, Cloud Nine Creative became one of the founding members of the Re:Frame Collective (an international association dedicated to furthering the growth and educational development of event cinematographers worldwide).

In 2008, Angela was a judge for the 2007 Canadian Wedding Industry Awards before acquiring the CWIA brand in 2009.

Angela is passionate about marketing, branding, small business management, design, travel, weddings (of course!) and her five year old miniature schnauzer "Macintosh" who along with Angela racks up lots of air miles traveling between offices in Vancouver and Toronto where Ms. Desveaux and her husband are bi-coastally based.
